Sleeping Man Run Over By Truck
LONGREACH, December 1. Stanley Wilson, 24, single, of Clermont, died at Muttaburra on November 27 as a result of being run over by a lorry. He was a member of a shearing team proceeding to Cressy Station, Corfield, and after attending a dance on Friday night went to sleep under or behind a truck parked in a shed while waiting for the balance of the party to arrive. He was not noticed when the truck later was backed out, until the headlights showed his prostrate form, the wheels having passed over him. He was rushed to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
