OBITUARY.
MR. H. G. BLAKE.
The sudden death of Mr. H. G. Blake on Sunday night cast a gloom over the little community of Muttaburra. The deceased was at the Hospital committee meeting on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday evening was in apparently his usual state of health. His death was due to heart failure.
The late Mr. Blake was 61 years of age and was of a quite disposition. He was employed by the Aramac Shire Council, as ranger, Muttaburra, holding that position for the last 15 years, previously he had been for some time on Ambo Station. He is survived by his widow, 5 daughters, 3 sons, all of whom were present at his death, excepting Misses Nell and Alice Blake, who were in Rockhampton attending a swimming carnival. The funeral on Monday was largely attended, testifying to the high esteem the late gentleman was held. Rev. Johnstone officiated at the graveside. Many floral tributes and messages of sympathy were received by the family.
