OBITUARY
MISS EDITH McCARTHY
The death occurred on Tuesday of last week of Miss Edith (Mudgee) McCarthy, fourth daughter of Mr. T. J. McCarthy and the late Mrs. McCarthy. Miss McCarthy was born in Muttaburra in 1900 and lived there all her life. Although of a retiring disposition, she made a large circle of friends by her sterling qualities.
Her mother and two sisters, Mesdames W. Bullen (Longreach) and A. W. Johns (Brisbane) predeceased her, and she is survived by her father and two sisters, Mesdames T. R. Hall (Muttaburra) and J. C. Usher (Brisbane). The funeral which left the Catholic Church was largely attended. Dr. J. A. Arratta, in the absence of Father Collins, officiating at the graveside.
