A man named Charles Vincent, about 50 years of age, a Frenchman, following the occupation of a cook, and recently employed at Charters Towers in a hotel was found dead in a stable at the rear of the Australian Hotel on the morning of the 30th April. It has been discovered by the police here that deceased had been ailing for the past nine years from asthma, and on lira matter being reported to Sergt Duffy inquiries were then held and the Magistrates gave an order for the burial, which took place on Sunday afternoon.
