DEATH OF MR. R. C. LLOYD
Old Resident of Muttaburra District
The death occurred at his home at Muttaburra of Mr R. C. Lloyd an old resident of the district.
Mr Lloyd, who was 88 years of age, was born in Devonshire, England. He came to Australia at an early age and had resided in Queensland for the past 73 years. He engaged in pastoral pursuits in various places and finally settled at Bluegate. At Bowen he married Miss I. Smith, and five sons and five daughters were the issue of the marriage. His wife predeceased him a few years ago, also three sons and two daughters. One son, Brian, paid the supreme sacrifice at the Great War. Two sons, Owen and Russell, and three daughters, Mrs A. Gilbert and Misses Ina and Margery Lloyd survived him. The remains were privately interred at Bluegate.
