Born in Ireland abt 1857 and came to Qld abt 1877

James Toole had applied, in Feb 1880, for a license to establish the Exchange Hotel at Sardine Creek. He ran that hotel until about Nov 1885, when he transferred the license, and in Jan 1886 he established the Kensington Hotel. In Aug 1889, he transferred that license and took up at the Australian Hotel in Muttaburra until his death in Oct 1892. His wife, Mary, held the license for various periods until May 1904.
